Let us put "JOY" in your travel!
Traveling to make money can take many forms, the first one that many people think of is business opportunities abroad, but there is also the selfless act of travelling for charity. Travelling for charity is a great way of making money for your favorite charity or carrying out work voluntarily to help others. You will also have the opportunity to experience different cultures and locations whilst doing your bit.
Travelling the Globe
You don’t necessarily need to travel the entire globe to be a part of this but it’s a great opportunity to do so, and you may decide that you want to take part in a challenge. There are loads of different ones to choose from:
It could be nearing the time of festivities. Any occasion is a good occasion for a charity event, be it Christmas, Easter or Halloween. You may wish to dress up as Santa with a group of friends and do a fun run.
There are organisations out there that can help you with completing the challenges that you wish to set yourself, because lets face it, its not easy doing something as big as this on your own, so why not join other like-minded individuals on your journey.
Choosing a Charity
Choosing a charity to help by travelling is possibly the most crucial challenge you will have to complete. There may be one in particular that stands out to you or you may have a few. You could just want to do something good for someone but not know who for. In which case do you look towards large charities, that a lot of people donate money to and really make a big difference to society in general? Or do you help out a much smaller charity, one that may not always be people’s first choice when donating?
Either way you can be sure that whatever you do to raise the money, it will go towards making a big difference to someone’s life, and it will make a big difference to your life too, not just from the point of view of travelling the world, but to know that you will have donated something which is far more precious than your money, and that is your time. You will have spent some of your life helping to improve the quality and even the length of others and that is quite an achievement indeed.
I am passionate about travelling for charity and enjoy informing others on the joy of doing it!
