For shopping fans, Covent Garden is the place for you. The streets are lined with unique shops that have something for everyone. There is even a carousel ride if you’re travelling with your kids. Another great attraction to keep the little ones entertained is a visit to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens.

Touring Buckingham Palace is a must if you are visiting London during the summer when the palace is open to visitors. Buckingham Palace is the home and office of Her Majesty the Queen and is one of the most iconic buildings in London. The palace has a rich history dating back to the early 1700’s and is an absolutely beautiful place to visit.

The Portobello Road market is another place that anyone who enjoys shopping must to visit. The market is home to items from souvenirs to antiques to things you didn’t even know existed. It’s open on Fridays and Saturdays in the morning, but it’s most enjoyable around 8AM just after it opens so you can avoid the massive crowds.

Lastly, no trip to London is complete without a visit to what many consider to be the finest theatre scene in the world. The West End is home to most London theatres and offers a performance that everyone will enjoy, whether it’s a hilarious comedy or a drama.
