Let us put "JOY" in your travel!
America offers many great places to visit and experience if you enjoy wine tasting and taking in the scenery. One of the most popular wine destinations is Napa, California which offers scenic vineyards and more than 50 types of grapes. Napa is well known but it’s neighbor, Sonoma Valley, also offers an impressive landscape and excellent wines (it’s just not as well known as Napa yet). Next up, travel north to Willamette Valley (near Portland) in Oregon. Willamette is known for its pinot noirs.
If you are a fan of Chardonnay, then be sure to check out scenic Charlottesville, Virginia. The Finger Lakes region in upstate New York is also a well kept wine secret. Here, you’ll take in beautiful farmland while enjoying some excellent Riesling. If you are in the Seattle area, take a quick trip to Woodinville and choose from one of the many wineries, one of the most popular being Chateau Ste. Michelle. Finally, we take you to Colorado, where you may think of skiing and outdoor adventures. But don’t be fooled because in Palisade, Colorado, you will find excellent cabernet francs and chardonnays.
We hope this list helps you in planning your next wine centric vacation. If you’re a vino fan and have travelled to national wineries, be sure to share your recommendations in the comments section. Happy wine tasting!
