The Big Apple, New York City, will captivate history buffs via the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park, and the
Natural History Museum. Boston, sometimes referred to as “the Athens of America,” offers many historical sites including the Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall, the USS Constitution, the Bunker Hill Monument, the Green Dragon Tavern, the Kennedy Library, Fenway Park, the Public Garden, and the Boston Public Library, the first of its kind in the United States. You’ll recognize landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Union Square, Mission Dolores, and Fisherman’s Wharf when you visit San Francisco.
A picturesque town with southern charm, Charleston, holds a plethora of historic sites. Be sure to visit Fort Sumter, the McLeod Plantation Historic Site, the Aiken-Rhett House Museum, Drayton Hall, and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride on the cobblestone streets. While in Newport, RI, visit the Newport Historical Society, Discover Colonial Newport tour, The Breakers, and Rough Point. Travel south to San Antonio for a visit to Alamo Plaza, the Witte Museum, South Texas Heritage Center, and the Institute of Texan Cultures. Finally, last but not least, travel to beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii, to visit Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial, in addition to the Bishop Museum.
